| REFRESH / RELOAD? |
| In the
case of Netscape it is "RELOAD" and Microsoft Explorer it is "REFRESH".
What it means is this! When you view something on the Internet, that page comes into your computer to allow you to view it. It depends on how your computer is set up. Some retain that information and when you call up that same page again, it will show what is in your computer, not what is the latest on the Internet. This can be very confusing when viewing pages that are constantly being upgraded or modified, such as our Gold Coast Seniors OntheNet pages. So we must remember to "REFRESH/RELOAD" each time we view a page. This way you receive the latest page from the Internet not what you have sitting in your own computer. Now how to do it! In Netscape, the RELOAD button is at the top left of your screen. In Microsoft Explorer, it is in about the same place. Hold down your SHIFT KEY on your keyboard and with your mouse click on the RELOAD/REFRESH button with your mouse and wait. You should see the page reappear in its new format. Also on our site,
you can click on... |
